In the charts, it peaked at #4 in the UK and #2 in the US, where it sold over one million copies and went platinum. Recording for London Town was completed with some final overdubbing in January 1978. The single “With a Little Luck” was released on 31 March and became a #1 hit in the US. The album also features the song “Girlfriend”, which Michael Jackson subsequently covered on his 1979 album Off the Wall
